Bangalore- Six Months- A Roller Coaster Ride
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun
Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut
There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The night of wonder
Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide
At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world
Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizonThough down this road we've been so many times
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonderWith friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Forever and ever
ALL GONE!! IS IT SO?
I came to a place called Bangalore on August 24th 2004, didnt have any idea that I will be here for next six months !! Bangalore-the place i always loved never gave me surprise niether a nightmare..yet introspective muses a roller coaster ride naturally!!
My personal encounter with Bangalore- August 2004 to March 2005..A random thought of confused mind...
1. People-
I will sum up as 1+3...Rest I dont know by writing some momo short of lines will solve a honest portrayal of expression. Yeah I will come back to 3+1..
One CA (Chartered Accountant) and Three Articles...
They were always there during the period..straight jacket thinking..perhaps balesphmy??
Definitely cherry on ice cream!!

2. Places- Three only....
- Purple Haze, Residency Road-New life devolves day by day,As friends and neighbours turn awayAnd there's a change that, even with regret, cannot be undone. You hang on to this place you will as if you are falling straight from a cliff hanger..yeah..draught beer..kewl rock music..and a place which can take breath away.
- Styx- Another high voltage pub, plays some extremely noisy music..yet sometimes it's fun to be there.
- Office- Backyard of the devils..if you dont want to do anything and then go and disturb somebody..LOL..For a useless like me its always better beat the bushes...fungus inside the den. You dashed inside...you feel you are in den!! May be for millions of years mankind has lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination, we learned to talk. 2.30 P.M., Weekdays-There is a silence surrounding, i cant seem to think straight..uummm..I will sit in the corner..No can bother you..I thought I should speak now...I seems to cant speak ever..I sometime wonder..where do we go from here? It shouldnt be like this...all we need to make ensure that we keep talking. 6.oo P.M.-Suddenly there is a hush...no one is there...you realized from the corner..something has happned...you feel somebody has thrown the lock into ground. And with glasses high we raised a cry for freedom time has arrived...i started wondering..where is freedom or shall i call it wisdom...Hey still some peoples are there like the ship of fools run aground..promises lit up the night like paper doves in flight. 6.45 P.M.- Your vicinity is empty!!Oh no..no warmth not even pride remaining.. Next day 9.30 A.M.-Again new frontiers shift like desert sands while some feel they have washed their blood in hands!! of loyalty, of history or sheds of gray!! You can see the smirk and victorious smile once again...deja vu...?? Yup man..I woke up to the sound of drums, the morning sun streamed in..I turned at cell..but all but the bitter residue slipped away... One more dream is over....
The roller coaster ride hasnt acheived the target..
The show must go on....
